At our Basford campus we have some exciting new developments going on! We are building two new facilities, our Construction Skills Centre and Centre for Supported Learning. These two new facilities are being built at the same time, so there’s currently lots of activity happening at Basford.

Nottingham has serious sustainability ambitions for the city and as a college we share these ambitions. As a large employer, occupying a sizeable estate, we must set an example for responsible environmental management and we have a duty to raise environmental awareness among our staff and learners.

We hosted our second Culture Day today at our City Hub Campus! 🌍 The event was aimed at celebrating the diversity, inclusion, and equality of our students. Traditional dishes were served, and music was played for everyone to enjoy before our amazing dance performance and fashion show. The fashion show showcased garments from different cultures including Nigeria, Kurdistan, and Pakistan. 🎉🙌

The countdown has begun! We are less than two months away from the highly anticipated End of Year shows. Our Media, Hair & Beauty, Fashion, and Art & Design students have been working hard over the past few months on their final projects, and this event is the perfect opportunity to showcase their talents to the public before they embark on their future endeavours. 🙌 We can't wait to invite you to join us for this annual celebration of creativity and hard work, where you'll get to see the amazing projects our students have been working on. This week, as part of Earth Day celebrations, we held a sustainability pledge competition. ♻️ The response was amazing, both staff and students participated and we received many fantastic entries. April is Stress Awareness Month, and as exam season approaches, some students may experience stress. 💭 We recently spoke with Lilly Rabjohn, a Travel and Tourism student as she shared her tips for managing stress, anxiety, and exam preparation. 💚 When Lilly retook GCSE English alongside her Travel and Tourism course last year, she had no idea it would ignite a passion for creative writing. A year on and she’s not only supporting others who are resitting their GCSE English exam, but she’s also written an article that has been published in the English Association's National Journal! 👏 Read more: https://ow.ly/whGh50RmaRK
